About Us
Power And Control established in 1998 has
introduced plugs and Recepticles Range from 16 Amps to 125 Amps Capacity
made out of Polycarbonate Resin as raw material specially for Shipping sector. It is mainly used for very rough handling and severe conditions prevailing in chemical plants, on board the ships, Railway stations, Ports, Airports, Hospitals,
Laboratories, Schools, Warehousing and Reefer Container Stations. The
Raw Material, Polycarbonate Resins of different grade made by
GE-Plastic-(I) Ltd. is used for our product for various shipping sector. This thermo-plastic can
withstand temperatures from -35°C to + 1 45°C without
deformation. Apart from thermal stresses it also withstands mechanical
and electrical stresses. The connection chamber of plugs is made to suit
100% safe against ingrace of water, so as to avoid short-circuit in the
chamber. The contacts are made from electrolytic copper and brass alloys
to overcome power losses condition during the transmission. Confident to
overcome all tests of world-renowned laboratories and meet their
specifications. Recepticles from Power And Control(India), made
out of Lexan Polycarbonate Resin of GE-Plastic (India) Ltd. is having
excellent Mechanical, Thermal and Electrical properties.
Properties tested for Plugs and Sockets made out of Lexon Polycarbonate Resins :
Impact Strength : Plugs and Sockets made out
of Lexon Polycarbonate Resins having super impact strength over a wide
temperature range from -35°C to + 145°C without any
deformation and virtually unbreakable.
Heat Resistance : These Plugs and Sockets made out of Lexan Polycarbonate Resins can withstand upto 1 25°C. Continuous use temperatures and maintain its mechanical strength and other properties.
Flame Retardency : These Plugs and Sockets structure made out of Lexan Polycarbonate Resins match wide standardized flame test rated by Underwriter's Laboratories.
Stability : The body structure of Plugs and Sockets is stable due to low water absorption and high resistance to ultraviolet radiation and practically no effect of weather.
Construction : Construction of Plugs and Sockets is 1 00% waterproof and dust proof for rough handling and damp conditions. It is made as per International Standard sizes and also made as per individual specifications.
Ratings : Available in 16 Amps to 125 Amps 24V To 450V, 2 Poles To 6 Poles + Earthing.
Safety : The Structure of Polycarbonate with stands up to dielectric strength 15 Kilo Volt/mm, surface resistivity >1012 ohms and comes underclass H & C insulation for continuous use at rated current. A Guide pin is provided to avoid dangerous misconnection and impossible to penetrate in. Second safety is that the thicker earthling pin makes it impossible to insert in to phase connection. In other words, it is a totally fool proof against misconnection. The contacts are tested to carry for rated / adequate current carrying capacity. The products are made in accordance with International Safety Standards.
